Trent Wheeler is a highly respected leader in the nonprofit community. He has over two decades of executive level management experience serving 10 years as President of African Christian Schools Foundation. Trent currently works with Mount Dora Children’s Home in addition to his work with his current clients. He has also worked for some of nation’s largest non-profit organizations including Ronald McDonald House International Charities, Healing Hands International, the National Corvette Museum, the Prince of Wales Trust and dozens of other clients.
In addition to his executive level experience Trent has run successful turn-around campaigns and capital campaigns for clients around the globe. His work has taken him to 18 different countries serving local, national, and international agencies.
A frequently requested presenter at national and international events, Trent has also served as an instructor of the Center of Nonprofit Management in Nashville, TN and is an award winning speaker with Toastmaster’s International. Trent also served as President of the Alachua Chamber of Commerce, President-elect of Rotary, and served on the board of directors for Greater Nashville Scholastic Hockey, the EAR Foundation, the Tobacco-free Initiative, and African Christian Schools Foundation.
When he is not working Trent enjoys time with his wife Debbie, spending time with his children and grandchildren, playing tennis, or riding his motorcycle across the backroads of America. He exercises daily, runs adventure and obstacle courses, and prefers to be outdoors whenever possible.
Trent’s greatest passion is watching the transformation of charitable organizations who once struggled, but now have the financial resources to fulfill their mission. He has worked with several struggling nonprofits and assisted as they developed vibrant, efficient development departments. His hands on approach of working side by side with his clients has taken him to Central America, the South Pacific and all across the continent of Africa.
